Warm-up
Steve Mazan shot out of the famous San Francisco comedy scene that produced such legends as Robin Williams and Dana Carvey. Those influences taught him the value of reaching a wide audience by getting laughs with clean, appropriate material. In his almost two decade career, Steve has done stand-up everywhere from clubs and colleges across the country to corporate events, cruises, and many television shows including The Late Show with David Letterman. His sense of humor and decorum caught the attention of the Ellen Degeneres daytime talk show producers. They hired him as a writer and he'd go on to win an Emmy.

The ability to be clean and clever also landed Steve on Letterman, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, a DryBar Clean Comedy Special, The Bob & Tom Radio, Sirius/XM and more. He’s even done audience warm-up for shows such as Deal or No Deal. But of all the performances Steve has done, he is most proud of his 12+ trips to Iraq and Afghanistan to perform for our troops.

Steve's comedy has been called “brilliant” and “side-splitting.” His material offers layers that leave audiences howling and thinking at the same time. He's Smart & Silly. Intelligent & ridiculous. Always clever. And clean. See what those who've hired him have to say- REVIEWS.

Well into his career Steve had a huge, all to common, health scare that left him with a worst-case scenario of five years to live. Steve’s inspiring story of battling Stage IV cancer while trying to reach his ultimate dream of performing on the David Letterman show lead to an award-winning documentary and a book from the same publishers of the “Chicken Soup for the Soul” series. The story also led to many requests to have Steve come and share his uplifting story with conferences and corporate events.

Not only has Steve given motivational talks to business groups, conferences, retreats and cancer wellness centers, but he has been invited twice to give talks at the prestigious TED talks events. His likeable persona, command of the stage and demeanor even lead to him hosting an entire TED event.

When Steve combines his gifts as a comedian with his uplifting storytelling, crowds get something not often found in presentational & motivational speakers today: Heart AND Humor in one.

Looking for a speaker to motivate your team or provide some passion to your event, but don’t want them to fall asleep with the same old boring cliches? Then have Steve come give them some much needed laughter with a message that will energize them.

Steve grew up in Chicago and served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Scranton Submarine before heading to Silicon Valley. He now lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two dogs--who provide him with much of the everyday relatable humor he shares with audiences around the world. Being an avid movie guy Steve also hosts a movie club podcast--check it out.
Oh yeah... AND he's beat that worst case scenario the doctors gave him by almost a decade so far!
